Nate Ryan

I am a photographer and multimedia producer based in the Twin Cities. In addition to freelance work, I am the Multimedia producer for Minnesota Public Radio's The Current and Classical stations. I have been photographing professionally since 2004 when I started freelancing for a local newspaper in my hometown. While at Carleton College, I served as the chief student photographer for the Media Relations and Sports Information departments, covering major events and sports for the school.

Before I began full-time employment as a photographer, I spent six years working in the bicycle and outdoor retail industry. I enjoyed providing the expertise necessary to guide customers to the right product for their outdoor needs. I bring that same philosophy to my image production as a photographer. I balance my love of cycling and technology in my free time, either road or mountain biking, or reading about new technology for cameras, computers, and electronic goodies. I am also a huge design nerd, especially about web design, typography and furniture design.
